Bijloke: Congress & Events

We are very pleased to present you ‘De Bijloke’ as our congress venue in Ghent. Music Center De Bijloke is a beautifully preserved, historic building located on the edge of Ghent’s city centre. The site combines a 13th century grand hall with modern architecture. It is a must-visit place for internationals who love classical music, jazz, contemporary arts and architecture. And a wonderful site to organise the EBTA congress 2022!

How to get there

When flying to Brussels airport, there is a good connection between the stations Brussels Airport and Ghent-Sint-Pieters.

If you’re not too tired from your flight and feel like going for the healthy option, Bijloke is only a 15 minute walk from the station.

Evening activities

We invite you to join our cultural program and discover the old city with us on Thursday evening september 15th. We offer the choice to take a walk through town, join a boat trip or visit the permanent exhibition in the STAM museum,  for which you can sign up during ticket purchase
 when completing your registration.

Enjoy a guided breathtaking walk through town. Discover the picturesque muddle of alleyways, passing by historical buildings that will amaze you.

Boat trip

Hop on our boat to learn more about this charming city from the water.` The boat takes you past the most beautiful medieval buildings in Ghent while the guide tells you the history behind them.
